Abstract

Epitaxial La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 thin films were prepared by a nontraditional solution-based metalorganic aerosol deposition technique. The specimens show a metal-insulator transition temperature Tp = 150-250 K and a maximal magnetoresistance ratio ΔR/R(5 T) = 160-1400%. A colossal magnetoresistance' of about 105% was observed in a La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/LaMnO3 (10 nm×10 nm) multilayer. Magnetotransport properties depend on the microstructure of the films.
