Abstract

Complexes containing vaccinia DNA, isolated from the cytoplasm of infected cells, synthesize messenger RNA in vitro with an endogenous RNA-polymerase. The vaccinia DNA complex isolated at 3 hours post-infection synthesized both "early" and "late" classes of vaccinia messenger RNA in vitro. © 1970.
