Abstract

This paper presents the vibration of annular sector Mindlin continuous plates with intermediate arc supports using the spline strip method. To demonstrate the convergence and accuracy of the present method several examples are solved, and results are compared with those obtained by other numerical methods. Stable convergence and good accuracy are obtained using the high-order spline strip models. Accurate frequencies of annular sector Mindlin plates supporting an intermediate arc support for the different sector angles, radii ratios, thickness ratios and boundary conditions along the circumferential edges are shown in tabular form.
