Abstract

The article mentions that the U.S. I-Corps, a boot camp for technology-based biomedical start-up firms, has been set up by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) to help the biomedical firms face the challenges of drug development. It questions the effectiveness of the U.S. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programme, which converts the scientific discoveries into the marketplace products and offers views of I-Corps creator Steve Blank on the same.
