Abstract

This article presents information on the importance of business education methods course in undergraduate business education programs. According to the author, these courses has traditionally included: curriculum, instructional strategies, teaching materials and resources, and assessment for business education. She states that depending on the requirements of the state and university, there could be one or more courses for the pre-service teacher in an undergraduate program. Traditionally these courses meet 2-3 times a week for 50-75 minutes or once a week for 150 minutes whereas new models courses are different. There are four new types of business education courses: hybrid course, blended course , online course and distance education course. The hybrid or blended course offers benefits to the institutions, teachers and students. Hybrid course offers both online and traditional systems. Whereas a blended course is a shared course Web site related to both online and face-to-face sections that would help in minimizing the work expected from the teachers.
