Abstract

The article explains how to deal with incivility in the workplace. It states that to survive a difficult economy, companies are making workers multi-task, blurring lines of responsibility, making them work longer hours, and putting more pressure on them. It cites several studies which show that as a result, workers are becoming more rude to each other, further hurting productivity. It suggests assessing the extent of the problem and presents advice on how to deal with it accordingly.
