Abstract

MCLEAN, S.G. and M. L. BEAULIEU. Complex integrative morphological and mechanical contributions to ACL injury risk. By failing to consider the integrative impact of key morphological and neuromechanical factors within the anterior cruciate ligament injury mechanism, we consider the current injury prevention model to be flawed. Critical links between these factors continue to be identified, suggesting that a successful prevention model should entrench neuromuscular control strategies that can successfully cater to individual morphological vulnerabilities.
