Content of professional training of students specializing in "sports and recreation tourism"

Abstract

The issue of vocational training of students specializing in "sports and'recreation tourism" is being studied at the premises of Tchaikovsky State Institute of Physical Culture. The presented research directions of the sphere of "sports and recreation tourism" are as follows: areas of sports orienteering, multi-day hikes, sports tourism (distance). Sports activity within the professional development of students was analyzed and the results of the studies of students' readiness for professional work were presented. The dynamics of physical fitness indicators of students was analyzed and the positive competition and learning motivation was detected. During the study period, students of the "sports and recreation tourism" specialization had improved their communication and organizational skills by 34%, 68% of them had increased their sports category, gained experience of refereeing in groups of different ages and physical fitness. To date, conditions for professional development and improvement of the quality of teaching students, bachelors of the specialization "sports and recreation tourism" are being created in the institute, the requirements of the federal state educational standard of higher professional education are being implemented, the main goal of which is to train a competent person ready to work under the conditions of increasing competition in the labor market and capable to find a solution in abnormal professional situations.
