Abstract

Wang Xuetai is a famous specialist of acupuncture-moxibustion science. Ever since 1948, he devoted himself to the studies of acupuncture literature, history, theory, clinical treatment and experimental work. He presided the International Standardization of Nomenclature of Acupoints, guided the International Standardization of Locations of Acupoints, and was invited to be the advisor of Studies on Meridians, one of the programs of State Climb Plans. Especially in the recent 20 years, he concentrated his efforts on the studies of development strategies and the advance of internationalization of acupuncture. His academic thinking produces a great impact in both China and abroad.
