Abstract

The adaptation to face professional changes and the impact of ITC in the workplace provide new challenges for the career guidance. In order to improve workers adaptability, especially of those who are unemployed, a guidance program, based on attitudes change, is applied and evaluated, in a sample of occupational centres in Barcelona. A pre-test post-test method showed that the experimental group obtain better results on adaptability attitude than those who did not receive it. The results confirm the effectiveness of the guidance program and demonstrate that it is possible to improve unemployed people attitudes toward adaptability, especially those under the age of 35 and that are inside a formative process. Some implications in the educational process are highlighted.
