Abstract

An energy conversion system consisting of a piezoelectric generator a circuit of storage and control was developed to convert the human-body energy into electrical energy by means of the piezoelectric ceramic to substitute or charge automatically the battery under special conditions. The effects of the structure parameters and the supporting mode of the piezoelectric oscillator on its electrical energy generation performance were investigated experimentally. A piezoelectric generator was designed according to the experimentally optimized parameters and working mode and it was attempted to power a wireless remote controller. The measurement shows that the maximal power output of the piezoelectric generator is 58.2 mW with a 100 kΩ load. The piezoelectric generator with the circuit of storage and control system can transmit the signal to the distance of up to 10 m, satisfying the need of the wireless remote controller operation.
