Researchers in countries around the world have made many contributions to the advancement of antenna technology, and to the understanding and modeling of radiowave propagation throughout the years, and continue to do so. This new column is intended to feature a contribution from a different country each time it appears. The column will highlight both past achievements and recent research and development activities in the fields of antennas and propagation. The idea for the column came out of discussions at the July 2012 AP-S AdCom meeting, were keeping Society members informed about what is going on around the world in our field was identified as an important function of AP-S. Contributions to the column are strongly encouraged: prospective authors should contact Yahia Antar.
