Wurtzburg reviews Ristock's book about IPV in LGBTQ lives. In her opinion the lack of research data translates into uninformed assistance, or no assistance by service providers. With the exception of focus on the First Nations communities in North America the author ethnic diversity is not an explicit subject in this book. Ristock encourages researchers, service provides and activistes to move beyond stereotypical notions about the LGBTQ community and to engage fully with its diversity in order to provide valuable interventions, with the possibility of true change. Strong point of the bood is the good collaboration between researchers and service providers.
