Abstract

Discusses the development of industry's concern for the health and physical fitness of workers. Suggests that this development is influenced by various socio-economic factors such as change in industrial structure, increase of leisure time, improvement of national income, innovation, and change in attitudes towards health and sport among workers. Provides examples of industrial sport and recreation programs.
