Abstract

The article examines the offering of an online degree in business education. Online instruction accommodates both traditional and nontraditional students. Barriers such as time, location and others may be removed when online programs are offered. According to the South Carolina Board of Education, business education is the number one critical needs area. Surveys show that several business education programs in the United States have experienced low enrollments. Technological changes and increased online courses offerings will force instructors to learn new software and course management systems.
