Abstract

Objective: This study seeks to determine the satisfaction of patients receiving clinical services from a division of chain grocery community pharmacies. Secondary objectives are to assess patient awareness of the other clinical services provided by the division of pharmacies and to determine other clinical services that the patients would like to see implemented by the division of pharmacies. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study that seeks to survey patient satisfaction with clinical services provided by a pharmacist. Participants will be recruited to participate in a paper survey after they receive a clinical service from a pharmacist in the division of chain grocery community pharmacies that consists of 91 pharmacies spanning three states. The participants include: patients of chain grocery community pharmacies in the division utilizing clinical services (health screening, medication therapy management, immunization, coaching program), participants of health fairs (receiving a clinical service), and employees of the grocery chain (receiving a clinical service). Participants will include adults 18 to 95 years old. The survey will ask demographic questions and the location of where the clinical service was provided (a pharmacy, division office, or health fair). Survey questions will include overall satisfaction with the clinical service, whether the patient would recommend the clinical service to a friend or family member, patient's awareness of other clinical services offered, and what additional clinical services the patient would participate in at the pharmacy. The completed one-page paper surveys will be collected and data will be analyzed. Results: Research in progress. Results from this study may be used as quality improvement to existing patient care services and to influence future potential clinical services.
