Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ) dan Motivasi Belajar terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa SMA 3 Negeri Kota Palopo

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the influence of emotional intelligence on the results of high school students studying biology Palopo City State, (2) the influence of motivation on learning outcomes Biology Palopo City Senior High School students, (3) the influence of emotional intelligence and motivation on learning outcomes Biology student SMA Palopo City. This study is ex post facto correlational nature, the population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri Palopo City. Cluster sampling with a random sampling. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed the following. (1) Student motivation high schools in Palopo City are in the "medium to high qualifications". (2) Emotional intelligence SMA students Palopo City, was in moderate to high qualifications. (3) Result of SMA student studying Biology at Palopo City are in the "highly qualified". (4) Emotional intelligence and significant positive effect on learning outcomes Biology. (5) Motivation to learn positive and significant effect on learning outcomes Biology. (6) Emotional intelligence and motivation have a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes Biology Palopo high schools in town.
