Resistive cryocables cooled with liquid nitrogen and superconducting cryocables cooled with liquid helium are advantageous for transmission of large amounts of energy due to improved thermal impedance and electrical conductivity. Authors analyze various components of cryocables, future technical development and problems related to their implementation.
