Reflections Three Essays and an Introduction On the Word Design : An Etymological Essay

Abstract

These esays by Vilem Flusser, along with the introduction by Fabian Wurm, appeared in Design Report, the magazine of german Rat Fuer Formbgebung. "Vom Wort 'Design'" appeared in no. 15 (December 1990); "Der Blick des Designers" in no 18/19 (December 1991); and "Von Formen und Formein" in no 20/21 (June 1992). Wurm's introduction appeared in the latter issue. The essays have since been collected in a book of Flusser's writtings on design edited by Fabian Wurm, entitled Vom Stand der Dinge: Eine Kleine Philosophie des Design (Goettigen: Steidl Verlag, 1993)
