Abstract

The article reports on the significance of the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) as a performance metric. It mentions that the OEE would inform the users on the percentage of time which the equipments has been producing good quality product at an acceptable rate. It states that critics argued on how OEE could promote overproduction in lean manufacturing.
