Abstract

Lung metastases are a common problem in the follow-up of malignancies. Although, it's usually found as a manifestation of a systemic dissemination, isolated lung metastases can be found in %20 of patients. Role of surgery for colorectal hepatic metastases has been clear; however, there is no standart approach for the pulmonary metastases which may also get benefit from surgery. In non-randomised studies, pulmonary metastasectomy could be helpful for the control of disease especially in some malignancies including osteosarcomas and germ cell tumors. Herein, we report the role of pulmonary metas-tasectomy in various cancer types.
