Slametan is one of uniqueness of Javanese culture. This tradition adopted many generations, especially by people around Kraton. This tradition implicitly shows human lowly position before the One that Holy and Powerful, namely God of the universe. On some portion of Javanese community, this ritual also addressed to their ancestor’s spirits or holy spirit as offerings. Pagebluk or natural disaster is a symbol of that holy spirit’s fury. This culture can’t be denied as derivative of Javanese origin that have long history, influenced by animism, dynamism, Hindu-Buddha, and Islam.
