Abstract

Leptodactylus mantipus Boulenger is a species of the genus Barycholos Heyer (Leptodactylidae, Leptodactylinae). B. mantipus differs from B. pulcher in finger length, presence of tarsal tubercles, shape of subarticular tubercles, and in coloration. Barycholos differs from other leptodactylines in having digital discs on the toes but not the fingers and in the arrangement of hyolaryngeal muscles
