Abstract

The control of telomerase activity at chromosome ends by telomere-binding proteins is critical for telomere length homeostasis. Two recent papers identify TPP1 as a critical mediator of this control. TPP1 forms part of the telomeric shelterin complex while also associating with telomerase, stimulating its activity and processivity. © 2007 by American Chemical Society.
