Raman scattering was studied in lithium-intercalated polycrystalline V2O5 films at room temperature. After intercalation, new Raman peaks were observed in the high frequency region and modifications of the lattice vibrations of the V2O5 structure were recorded. The two new Raman peaks have been interpreted as intercalation modes in which lithium atoms vibrate in the host lattice using a simple model of lattice dynamics. © 1995.
