Abstract

When a couple decides to have a child its members experience a resurgence of earlier intrapsychic issues. For lesbian couples the lack of a social construct to guide them in family formation brings an added challenge. Through personal interviews and clinical examples this paper explores some of the ways in which these intrapsychic issues may manifest, both as conflict and as potential for growth. © 2001, Copyright Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
