Abstract

Dependences of carbon nanotubes mass yield and conversion of substances – carbon precursors into carbon on temperature and gaseous components feed rate were studied. Propanebutane, acetone, and ethanol were used as carbon precursors for CVD synthesis of carbon nanotubes. Yield of nanostructured carbon and conversion of carbon precursors into carbon pass through a maximum or drop with increasing feed rate of gaseous components. Such behaviour was explained by participation of intermediate products of thermal transformations of starting sunstances in the process of carbon nanotubes growing. Macrokinetic model of dependence of nanocarbon yield on time was proposed.
