Abstract

The engineering education community is demanding that Engineering graduates are better able to solve problems. However, traditional lecture does not allow learners to engage with and manipulate new knowledge and skills in preparation for application in situations other than those described in textbooks. Reality-based learning (RBL) is the approach adopted by Greenfield Coalition (GC). This paper discusses the methodology for designing RBL activities as well as several examples.
