Abstract

The article examines the role that limited editions play in contemporary design. Particular focus is given to the sale of these items in showrooms and at art auctions. Several items are discussed, including a 1965 table designed by Konstantin Grcic, a 1922 mirror designed by Wendell Castle and a 1978 chair designed by Maarten Baas.
