The effects of the Cu2+ concentration on the electrodeposition of nickel onto the glassy carbon electrode is studied by cyclic voltammetry and the step potential method in a sulphate solution. It is found that when increasing the Cu2+ concentration, the reduction potential of nickel shifts to the positive direction, the current loops of nickel electrocrystallization narrow and the nucleation activation energy ΔG of nickel decreases. © 1999 MAEe cyriillic signK "Hayκa/Interperiodica".
