Abstract

A gravity survey of the Askrigg Block south of Wensleydale provides a link between earlier surveys to the north and south. The chief feature is a gravity low near the head of Stake Pass, with two subsidiary minima east and west respectively of the main central low. The disposition of the basement rocks causing these effects is suggested. © Yorkshire Geological Society, 1967.
