Few high-medieval and early late-medieval sources have survived regarding the musical life at the Austrian court at Innsbruck before Maximilian I. During these years it was influenced by two dukes, Friedrich IV (Friedl mit der leeren Tasche/Friedl of the empty pockets, 1406-39) and Sigmund den Munzreiche (Sigmund the wealthy, 1439-90). Accounting receipts show that the musician Paul Hofhaimer was organist at Duke Sigmund's court, and that Heinrich Isaacs stopped there on his travels in 1484.[Auchmann, Michaela]
