The article presents a response to comments which were made regarding the authors' beliefs about the mediation of the conflict between fact and value in organizational management. Criticisms which the authors have regarding the comments made are discussed, including that they did not domesticate values and that the goal of their paper was not to establish a golden mean between extremes. The differences which the authors feel exist regarding the beliefs of themselves and those who commented one their research are mentioned.
