Abstract

This article presents the medicinal properties of 9 spices, including antihelmintic, carminative, laxative, diuretic, flatulence preventive and dyspepsia-preventive properties. The spices mentioned were: ajowan Trachyspermum ammi, aniseed Pimpinella anisum, asafoetida Ferula assa-foetida, cardamom Elettaria cardamomum, coriander Coriandrum sativum, fenugreek Trigonella foenum-graecum, garlic Allium sativum, ginger Zingiber officinale and turmeric Curcuma longa.
