Abstract

Noelins are secreted glycoproteins with important developmental functions in frogs and birds. Here, we present the expression pattern of the mouse homolog of Noelin-1/2 at E8-10 of development and compare this pattern to other vertebrates. Expression was observed in the neural plate and neural crest, as well as in the cranial ganglia. Later, expression is prominent in brain tissue and in the zone of polarizing activity in the limb. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
