Abstract

Measurements of aerosol and cloud condensation (CCN) concentration at 0.3% supersaturation were made onboard by weather modification office over the Hebei area during May 2005 to October2008. The vertical distributions of aerosol particles and CCN were analyzed in different underlying surface. There are three cities, Shijiazhuang, Handan, Xingtai and Bohaiwan(the bay of Bohai). The vertical distributions of aerosol and CCN were fit to exponential distribution in May and September, but not fit in October for the haze pollution. Whether the CCN formed from aerosol is determined by aerosol average diameter in the land while the CCN concentration over the sea was determined by the aerosol concentration. © 2009 IEEE.
