Abstract

Findings gained from research and practical experience. Alongside well-known concepts such as the Continuous Improvement Process and Total Quality Management, business process optimization has proved its worth while the wave of reorganization projects under the banner of business reengineering currently appears to be abating somewhat. The following article describes how business process optimization is focused as opposed to business reengineering, and outlines the concept's essential success factors.
