The pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatmentand prognosis of fractures ofthe ulna and olecranon are described.It appears that both the potentialbenefits of using internalfixation techniques in the proximalulna and the olecranon and therisks involved are heavily influencedby concomitant injuries,which means that the diagnosisand appropriate treatment of theseare of decisive importance for theoutcome.
