Abstract

Emphasis on autonomous systems has been growing steadily in recent years as users and organizations increasingly require software systems to deliberate on their behalf, to face unpredictable situations without human assistance, and to autonomously find solutions to complex problems. Whatever the sort of autonomy that's required, one technology has autonomy at its core: software agents. This monthly theme is devoted to them.
