Abstract

Many students who become certified teachers are not aware of the numerous challenges that lie before them. They are prepared and well versed in their content area, but they lack the necessary skills to deal with the numerous challenges that they will face on their school campus on a daily basis. As a result many beginning teachers report constant anxiety because of their feelings of inadequacy. This anxiety leads to stress that, in many cases, leads to teachers leaving the profession
