Abstract

The shift in the student population on college campuses, which includes more diversity of learning styles among students, calls for a repertoire of teaching skills that addresses that diversity. This article provides a rationale and discusses strategies for using educational gameswithin a framework of intellectual rigor and professional integrity so that material can be integrated into effective practice. The article emphasizes the importance of recognizing and adapting to the learning styles of the changing student population in universities today. (Journal abstract)
