West African mangoes.

Abstract

This paper reports on the strong growth of EU imports of West African mangoes in recent years. It also briefly discusses the EU regulatory conditions for mangoes, and describes the main West African mango varieties. The trade situation in 2003 is then examined, and measures to defend the existing market share (and to secure increases) of West African mangoes are suggested.
