Abstract
Do we need modelling and analysis of historical constructions? The answer seems to be yes and this activity is receiving more and more attention in the challenging issues of con- servation and restoration. The actual point is what type of analysis should be used. In this paper, the possibilities of analysis of historical constructions are addressed and a set of guidelines is proposed. Several case studies, of different complexity levels are also presented, illustrating the application of different tools of analysis.
