Abstract

OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to illustrate the MRI appearance of anatomic variations and congenital heart diseases that involve, directly or indirectly, the atria. CONCLUSION. Anatomic variants and congenital diseases involving the atria are characterized by a wide variety of MRI manifestations, most of which can be explained by the underlying pathophysiology and relationship to normal atrial anatomy. © American Roentgen Ray Society.
