Abstract

Case study research is a versatile, highly flexible, and adaptive approach to qualitative research. Focusing upon single or multifaceted contexts and phenomena, case study research proffers great potential for theory construction. Although misunderstandings of case studies exist, case studies offer several benefits such as providing in-depth descriptions of communicative phenomena and sites for theory testing and construction.
