Abstract

With natural capital at the foundation of every value chain, tracking the health of ecological assets is critical for sustainable development. We need robust natural capital accounts that must be able to assess both human demand on ecological assets, as well as the ability of these assets to meet this demand. Natural capital accounts allow governments to gauge their ecological performance.
