Abstract

The history of dyslexia is a good example of the evolution of psychological theories from their origin to nowadays, and their adaptation to the newborn disciplines. This historical review of dyslexia provides a brief view of this theoretical and methodological evolution, and summarizes the main theories and causes of dyslexia, with emphasis on the phonological de cit and the genetic nature of this disability.
