Abstract
Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is an absorption spectroscopy method, which is widely used to distinguish molecules with different functional groups. FTIR-based in situ microscope Fourier transform infrared reflection spectroscopy (MFTIRS) and in situ polarization modulation Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (PM-FTIR) are widely used in the dynamic observation of the electrochemical reaction of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film, the solvation/desolvation process of the electrode interface, and the energy storage mechanism of organic electrode materials. The various in situ / ex situ FTIR techniques introduced in this chapter have broad application prospects in the research of key materials for secondary batteries.
