Abstract
Triaxial, plane strain, and one-dimensional compression tests conducted on rockfill samples to study the behavior of granular masses are described. The results of the research demonstrated how the stress-strain and strength characteristics of a granular mass depend on particle breakage, a process that modifies the grain size distribution when the material is subjected to a change in the state of stress.
