Abstract
When thinking about creating an immersive experience within a media, interaction is often one of the main tools that developers wants to apply. But what would happen if the interaction was removed from the immersive experience and the focus was pointed towards the narrative. This paper describes the development and testing of our model called the Wheel of Immersion, which is based on theoretical research from a narrative immersive perspective. The model describes how different stages of immersion can be reached by overcoming different human depending and media constructed barriers while illustrating the changing flow between different stages.
